Organic Express Gurgaon Review, 113, Central Arcade, DLF Phase 2, Gurgaon
I can call Organic Express the “White Knight” amongst restaurants of DLF Phase 2. Its presence has brought a fresh & healthy flavour, literally, to the Central Arcade market in DLF 2, Gurgaon.
Organic Express doesn’t only make good food with organic produce, they also have a retail counter that sells organic vegetables, groceries, spices and condiments. The small eatery is coloured in white and makes one feel warm on arrival. The quotes on their walls also make one feel cheery.
I visited Organic Express recently and ordered a bit for an afternoon lunch. My order comprised of Chef’s Special Salad which was a medley of eggs with crunchy vegetables dressed with salsa sauce. It turned out to be a very good preparation. To go along I ordered Murmura Chaat which was also quite nice and crunchy despite it had been packed for a while.
To satiate the stomach I opted for two types of sandwiches – Minty Chicken and Country Chicken with Tossed Vegetables. Both sandwiches were done with Whole Wheat Bread. While Minty Chicken was quite tasty Country Chicken was disappointing. I can actually call it tasteless.
A couple of other observations that contributed to the loss of points. I visited Organic Express around noon and there was no one at the counter to prepare the food. The only person who got a bit overwhelmed by my questions was cleaning it as I entered the place. The air conditioning was switched off so the eatery was smelly. However, both these points were rectified as soon as the Counter manager sauntered in. I requested for coffee, but the machine was not ready. The counter manager did offer me tea though that I declined.
Barring these small glitches the overall experience was quite nice. Counter manager was knowledgeable & swift and got the order going in no time with his helper.
To Sum-It-Up: Ordering fresh organic = healthy food from Organic Express was a very good experience. The grub was delicious as well. Will keep ordering.
