By Times of India – After interrogation, Sanjana leaves Mumbai The Mumbai Police is currently investigating the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case, and has been questioning his family, friends and members from the film industry. On Sunday, DCP Abhishek Trimukhe of Mumbai Police told us that they were investigating the case from every angle.
On Tuesday, it was reported that debutante actress Sanjana Sanghi, Sushant’s co-star from Dil Bechara, his last film which is yet to release, was also summoned by Mumbai Police. The questioning went on for almost seven hours. Yesterday, the actress, who hails from Delhi, left Mumbai to return home. Before heading back, in a cryptic message, she took to Instagram to bid adieu to Mumbai. In her post, she wrote, “Khuda Hafiz Mumbai, 4 maheene baad aapke darshan hue. Main chali, Delhi vaapis. Aapki sadke kuch alag si lagi, sunsaan thi. Shayad mere dil mein jo dukh hai, mere nazariye ko badal rahe hai. Ya shayad, filhaal aap bhi thode dukh mein hai. Milte hain? Jaldi. Ya shayad, nahi.”
It has been reported that in her recent statement to Mumbai Police, Sanjana refuted the rumours that she had accused Sushant of harassment in 2018. Two years ago, there were reports that claimed that Sushant was making his Kizzie Aur Manny (the previous title of Dil Bechara) co-star Sanjana uncomfortable by being over-friendly with her. There were rumours that she had accused him of sexual harassment. On October 19, 2018, when we had reached out to Sushant for his reaction to the allegation, he dismissed the rumours and replied saying, “It’s a set-up.” He had also shared chats between him and Sanjana with us that were exchanged during the course of the film.
After that, on October 23, 2018, Sanjana posted a clarification where she dismissed the allegation completely. She had tweeted, “On returning from a long trip to the US yesterday, I read several baseless and unfound stories with respect to misconduct and misbehaviour on the sets of our film Kizie Aur Manny. I’d like to clarify that no such incident took place with me. Let’s put an end to these conjectures (sic).”
We reached out to Sanjana and Dil Bechara director Mukesh Chhabra about her sudden departure, but both remained unavailable for comment till the time we went to press.
