She also remembers the time when Amitabh and Jaya were in the midst of their courtship days before getting married. She revealed that they would pick her up from her house in Pali Hills at night, and they would go for a drive to have coffee at a hotel.
Farida went on to reveal that even now Big B sends her greetings on her birthday. She also added that she met him during ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Farida also revealed that the 1975 film ‘Majboor‘ was a special role because Mr Bachchan was with her in that film. It was also special because the role was different.
Amitabh and Jaya shared the screen space together in the 2001 film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’. Helmed by Karan Johar, the film also starred Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor in pivotal roles.
In an earlier interview, Farida had revealed that she was approached for Nikkhil Advani’s ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’. However, she came to know that she has been offered to play the role of Jaya Bachchan’s mother-in-law for the film. So she decided to opt-out.
