Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar’s team recently gave an update about her health condition. It’s been more than a week since she was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after she was diagnosed with COVID-19 and pneumonia.
Anusha Srinivasan Iyer, who is a close friend of the singer said, ”Lata Didi is showing signs of improvement from before and is under treatment in the ICU from the amazing team of doctors spearheaded by Dr Pratit Samdani. We are looking forward and praying for her speedy healing and coming back home.”

The megastar had got in touch with one of her staff members, who was also COVID-19 positive. After learning about Mangeshkar’s health, several fans and members from the film industry took to social media to wish her a speedy recovery. “Prayers for your speedy recovery @mangeshkarlata,” wrote Abhishek Bachchan on Twitter.
A few days back, there were reports doing the rounds on social media that Lata Ji’s health had deteriorated in the hospital. Post that, her team had issued a formal statement, mentioning that she is ‘stable’. ”It is disturbing to see false news being circulated. Please note that Lata Didi is stable. Continues to be in ICU under treatment of able doctors. Please pray for her quick return home,” read the statement.
