Sara Ali Khan and mom Amrita Singh sought a little divine intervention over the weekend as they masked up to visit Ujjain’s famous Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga temple.
The mother-daughter duo put on their best traditional attire as they visited the temple to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings. “Maa aur Mahakal,” Sara captioned the photos that saw her posing with her mom with the temple and holy lake in the background.
The ‘Kedarnath’ actress wore a simple white suit embellished with black coloured block print while her mom was seen in a royal blue suit.
The actress took a detour from the shoot of her film with Vicky Kaushal to spend some time at the famous temple in Madhya Pradesh. Although an official announcement about the film has not yet been made, it is reported that Vicky and Sara are shooting an untitled romantic comedy directed by Laxman Utekar.
The cinematographer-director said he was keen to explore a fresh pairing for his new project. In a statement to PTI, he said, “I always wanted to work with Vicky. He is such a fantastic performer. I am a fan of his. Sara has something in her and for this film she is apt, she will kill it.”
The film that went on floors in November is scheduled to release in theatres in 2022.
Vicky and Sara are also set to feature on-screen in Aditya Dhar’s ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’. The film that is expected to be a trilogy, was recently put on hold due to funding issues.
