Gurgaon: Homebuyers of Ansal Esencia project in Sector 67 protested and filed a police complaint against the developer on Sunday alleging diversion of funds. The developer is yet to receive occupation certificate and there is a lack of amenities, the homebuyers alleged.
The RWA members said the project, which has around 600 residents and allottees, is still incomplete and without OC and electricity connection. The residents alleged that the ban on registration of plots, developer’s pending dues with several authorities and non-functional rain water harvesting systems have further made their living tough.
Dharmender Tanwar, president of Esencia RWA said that he has filed a police complaint at Sector 65 police station seeking criminal proceedings for cheating and misappropriation of funds against the developer and its top management. “We have not received what we were promised and as of the date the property is in a shamble,” Tanwar said.
Ansal API Esencia is spread over 140 acres. The total units in this project, which was launched in 2011, are 1,043. The possession started in 2014 and currently there are more than 2,000 families living in the society.Moreover, more than 500 families are waiting to move into their new homes but are not able due to the lack of basic infrastructure in the society, informed theresidents group.
A resident said “There are many homebuyers who have been waiting to get the conveyance deeds of their purchased properties but have not been able to do so even after paying the full amount of the property to the developer.”
The RWA said that residents are also suffering due to lack of infrastructure.
Sector 65 police said, “We have received a complaint from the residents against the developer, the case will be examined and action will be taken accordingly. Despite repeated attempts the developer did not respond to TOI’s queries.
