By Times of India – Gurugram: Two shop staff robbed of Rs 3 lakh in DLF-1 GURUGRAM: Two employees of a departmental store were allegedly robbed of Rs 3 lakh on Saturday morning in DLF-1 According to the police, on Saturday morning, Sanjay and Swaminathan were going to a bank located in Sector 44 to deposit Rs 3 lakh when five masked men in an Alto car intercepted them near Golf Course road. “They asked us to handover the bag of cash we were having and beat up my colleague, Swaminathan. They even threatened to stab me with a knife if I did not give them the money,” as Sanjay said in his police complaint. Police officials said Swaminathan is currently admitted in a hospital and undergoing treatment. “Two of the five robbers were without masks. All of them fled as soon as they got hold of the cash bag. Sanjay immediately called the police control room and reported about the crime,” a police officer said. On the basis of the complaint, an FIR has been registered under sections 379 B (snatching after preparation made for causing death) and 34 (hurt or restraint in order to the committing of snatching) of the IPC at DLF-1 police station.
