By Times of India – Schools only deferred overhead fees, say parents in Gurugram Picture for representational purpose only.GURUGRAM: Despite the directorate of school education decreeing that private schools will only collect tuition fees during lockdown, parents have alleged that the overhead charges have only been deferred and not waived, and schools are clubbing other fees with tuition fees. “Circulars by many schools clearly states that additional charges are only deferred and not waived. This means we need to pay it in 3-4 months,” argued Pradeep Rawat, co-founder of Gurugram Parent’s Association. Over 2,000 parents have joined what they are calling ‘a fight against illegal and arbitrary charging of fees’ and have demanded a complete waiver of additional charges. All the schools refuted the charges that they are clubbing different fee heads but not many confirmed that they have waived the additional charges completely.
