By Times of India – Some areas to face outage for 8 hours today Gurgaon: The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) will suspend power supply in certain parts of the city on Friday for nearly eight hours to facilitate the ongoing work to reduce the load sharing on Daulatabad substation. In a press note, the power department intimated the residents that repair work would be carried out on 66kV power lines on Friday. “For this, the power supply for areas like Sector 23A, Carterpuri, Palam Vihar, Rajiv Nagar, industrial area phase 4 and 5, among others, will remain suspended from 9am to 4.30pm,” it read. The power department has claimed that the proposed work on 66kV lines is to facilitate the ongoing work on the 220kV substation meant for Sector 107. The 66kV lines will now be laid over the 220kV lines and for that, supply needs to be suspended, officials said.
